Health is Wealth is back for 2019!

We are thrilled to announce that after months of requests from our Finvest community, our fabulous Health is Wealth event returns to the magnificent rooftop deck of the Circa St.Kilda on August 18!

So, we all know that wealth is far more than financial gain.

In fact, according to the ABS, Australians told us that being healthy was one of the most significant factors affecting an individual’s wellbeing.

But in the frantic roller coaster of daily life, its far too easy to lose sight of those critical non-financial aspects that enrich our lives in other ways – and require careful, positive tending.

That’s why we created Health is Wealth  – and it was an instant hit.Now in its 9th season, this 3-hour urban retreat is a rare opportunity to do just that. It’s a chance to take some time for yourself and reconnect with the other critical areas of wellbeing (Physical, Emotional, Spiritual, Environmental, Intellectual, Occupational and Social) that all too often get pushed to one side.

It’s also a lot of fun! The Health is Wealth retreat session (the morning session) is free – but due to the size of the deck and the popularity of the event, places are strictly limited. The retreat session is followed by a very special afternoon session that is a must-attend for dancers and those interested in human movement. Health is Wealth - the details

Our free morning session runs from 9am – 12 midday. Designed to reconnect you with your best self, the free morning session consists of a series of 20-40 min talks, demonstrations and workshops. Each session is highly interactive, and is designed to be inspiring, and to give you valuable tips in health and wellness.

We begin the day opening our bodies through breath and movement in Hatha Yoga with Michelle Gardiner. Then we move into Hip Hop Yoga with Victoria Alessi, founder of Hip Hop Yoga Brunswick.  (Be sure to bring your own yoga mat).

After working up a sweat, we enjoy a nutritious brunch where Tanya Leyson + Simone Roberg, Health Coaches, will talk to us about about body transformations and explain how food can work as medicine. We also enjoy an introductory workshop on connection – with very special guests Kuna Malik Hanad and Brenda Carvalho.

After this, we get social – with a social dancing class for beginners from 12:00 – 12:30. This is a great, fun event featuring The Salsa Foundation, the largest Salsa dance school in the southern hemisphere. The Health is Wealth session finishes with giveaways and group photos.

The Afternoon "Connections" workshop

The afternoon workshop offers a very special opportunity designed specifically for dancers and all those with an interest is dance or human movement.

Dedicated to the power of touch and exploring how this exists in dance, this is a beginner friendly session, suitable for all dance levels, and will be of special interest to students of human movement.

The session will run from 12.30pm – 3pm and costs $70.00 per attendee.
